The Hospital Turnaround model was originally developed while working as the Chief Information Officer of a Texas based hospital system who was tasked to come up with a solution to combat declining revenues, shrinking reimbursements and growing labor and supply costs. By using information technology to taking advantage of the growing web marketing trend in healthcare we uncovered a strong method to grow revenues while reducing staff involvement in the information gathering process and prioritize staff resources based on protocols we were able to establish. Our system was able to both increase the total number of elective surgeries, ancillary procedures and reduce our labor and marketing costs significantly throughout the hospital system.

A few unexpected benefits materialized as this program progress in that patients with managed care benefits as well as self/cash pay patients increased by a considerable percentage improving our payor mix. By establishing a comprehensive program that actually lowered many operational costs, we are able to provide greater patient care that ultimately led to better outcomes for the patient and facility. After one year, we realized an even greater return in that a high rate of "word-of-mouth" referrals strengthened the program further as healthy and satisfied patients have a tendency to discuss their journey openly in internet forums, work, church and among friends. Our statistics showed that we received addition 2.5 patients via word of mouth for each patient acquired via internet marketing over a 3 year period.

Today, Hospital Turnaround's primary focus is on marketing for healthcare provider's through "Patient Education". In our home market of Houston, Texas, thousands of patients have come through our system and elected to have surgery in this market over the last 8 years.
